So far, our eight turbines have generated >125,776,424 kWh* of clean energy and counting. That's enough to power 46,757 homes for a year.
Together with our investment partner, our 5,600 members own and run this green power station. The energy generated is sold to the grid to power our homes, cars, appliances and christmas trees. Kirk Hill Co-op members receive member savings payments to reduce their energy bills for the 25-year lifetime of the project.
A share of the generation income is also reinvested in local community projects via Dailly Community Development Trust and North Carrick Community Benefit Company
