We are Kirk Hill. The UK's largest community owned windfarm.
So far, our eight turbines have generated 118,175,429 kilowatt hours (kWh)* of clean energy and counting. That's enough to power 43,931 homes for a year.
Together with our investment partner, our 5,600 members own and run this green power station. They use the energy generated to power their homes, cars, appliances and christmas trees. We also use the profits from selling the energy to the grid to help members reduce their energy bills for the 25-year lifetime of the project.
