Kirk Hill Coop Limited is a registered co-operative society run by its members for their collective benefit.
Kirk Hill Coop Limited is run by a Board of Directors chosen by members at Annual General Meetings. All board members are unpaid volunteers, who serve for an initial three-year term.
Kirk Hill Coop Limited is a members' co-operative society registered with the Financial Conduct Authority, registration number 4829. Annual financial accounts for previous financial years can be found on the FCA's website (see Documents).
Annual General Meetings are held online each year to review performance of the wind farm, approve the annual accounts for the previous year and vote for members to join the Board of Directors. Directors serve for a three-year term but can choose to stand again for a second three-year term. Additional member meetings are organised during the year if there is special business to discuss.
The board of Kirk Hill Coop nominates member representatives to sit on the board of Kirk Hill Wind Farm Limited, our joint venture with Bruntwood Limited, that owns and operates the windfarm. Kirk Hill Coop owns 58% of the joint venture SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle). The SPV Board oversees the operation of the windfarm with the turbine manufacturer and maintenance contractor and manages the bank loan.
